Low-pressure UV lamps operate on a single-wavelength radiation principle, typically around 254 nm. This specific wavelength is highly effective in inactivating microorganisms by directly damaging their DNA. While the targeted wavelength ensures efficient pathogen control, it consumes less energy.

How UVL Works in a Pool
Low-pressure UV (UVL) systems emit UV-C light at 254 nm, which disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, preventing their replication. Installed after the filtration unit, the reactor disinfects the water as it flows through. UVL systems are effective for bacterial and viral inactivation while reducing chemical use, making pool water safer and clearer.
